Wow, I haven't written an entry in a long time.

Christmas this year was... fulfilling. I have to admit I hardly got any presents this year (but a few people still owe me presents.. ) but I realized that there's something more satisfying than material things.

This year, my family and I went to Fatima Center in Iriga, Bicol. Its an orphanage. It was a 14 hour drive there but once we got there it instantly felt like home, even the sister's were saying, "Welcome Home." We stayed there from December 23 to December 26.

The highlight of the whole trip was definitely the kids. There are 146 of them and they said there are more to come. They were amazing. They weren't rude and rowdy, unlike some kids I have encountered in the past, they were sweet and friendly. Each of them has their own story of how they got there and some of their stories almost made me cry. The great thing is they realize how lucky they are to be there because they get 3 meals a day and they have a place to sleep at night. They know that there are other people that are worse off than they are. So everyday they save a part of their rice ration to give to the "poorest of the poor" families. They're more mature than a lot of people I know. They give without expecting in return, they are thankful for every little thing they have, and they still manage to smile despite their past. It's ironic but I look up to them.

All in all, I had a great Christmas. If you guys wanna make some kids really happy you can come with me next year.. *ahem* *ahem*.

Time for Nerd Mode. I will stay positive, even if it kills me.

So anyway, yesterday Marien and I watched House of Wax in Gateway. hehe.. i dont think its such a good idea that only marien and i watched cuz we were both covering our eyes and screaming. there was no one there to squeeze and tell us whats happening.. haha. the only thing that got us through it was Chad Michael Murray's extreme hotness. Besides that the best part was of course Paris getting killed. (y couldn't she at least put some clothes on?! haha..)

so afterwards we went back to katipunan and waited for our rides in starbucks. all i have to say is, Dondon is all grown up now.. hahahaha.

this is an entry of gratitdude. this is also a long overdue entry. first of all i want to thank the LORD for giving me another year of life. i am officially 18. i also want to thank HIM for bestowing so many blessings in my life. blessings such as an understanding and very generous mother who not only got me what i so badly wanted but also made the surprise party possible. blessings such as my best friends, face and marien, who organized the whole thing. without them there would have been no party. it was a truly great party, for those of you who didn't go.. *ahem, ahem*.. haha. (thank you for working so hard you guys). blessings such as my boyfriend, shao, who tried his best to keep it a surprise but certain things just weren't meant to be.. hehe. blessings such as friends who remembered me on my special day. blessings such as getting a 93 on my spanish test. and the list could go on and on. THANK YOU. i wanted to write this since sunday but school just wouldnt let me. you know how when u exercise for the first time after a long time of sitting around and you feel muscles ache? i never thought that your brain could go through that also. after studying for math around 6 or 7 hours straight i literally felt my brain ache. i guess it got a good workout. hopefully it was worth it, but after that math exam.. the future looks grim. finally, freedom! no more trying to think in three languages and no more trying to decipher derivatives and integrals. but just three more weeks and its back to a full load. rawr. so i watched The Amityville Horror with face, marien, and shao yesterday in gateway. it was.... entertaining. marien and i were the scaredy cats screaming at EVERYTHING. ("its just a bear!!" hahaha) while shao and face were laughing. (nice!!) next must see... House of Wax. (i gotta see paris hilton get killed) so after that shao and i ate and face bought candy. bad idea... can you say "sugar high"? yea, face, marien, and i got really hyper on the way to katip. practically singing on the top of our lungs and laughing till our heads hurt. i felt bad for shao's manong a.k.a. shao's driver cuz he had to drive while listening to our singing. haha. btw, check out my multiply.. http://gelatin17.multiply.com/.. my birthday pics are up!

its really hot..  that's what the title means. its crazy. my spanish teacher said that its gonna go up to 42 degrees today. my mom said she would start giving me extra allowance just to buy water. i think the heat is getting to everyone. the heat leaves me with a bad temper, bad stomach, dry mouth and sticky skin.  i can't believe im gonna say this but.... i  miss the snow. then again maybe not.. cold is a little harder to run away from and cleaning up the snow is torture. at least with heat u don't have to clean anything up except an oily face.

so anyway, today wasn't so bad considering that in spanish we had a really laid back discussion about all the different cities in spain. man, i really wanna go there now. when señor capili was describing the catherdrals and fiesta's i thought that my imagination could only take me so far. so now i have a new goal in life, travel all around spain even if i have to do it by myself. i swear im gonna see everything my teacher mentioned. yea, that would be awesome.

after spanish we were supposed to  have math but it was free cut. our teacher's so weird i swear. he came into class, sat down, and told us to leave. we were like, "wha??" and he goes "free cut" and we were like "oh ok! yay!" hehe. yea, we deserve a free cut after the kind of test he gave us yesterday. RAWR!

so now im in the computer lab in CTC to cool down before i go back into  the CrAzY heat.

i think i've said enough.
